چکیده
Background/Aim. Total hip arthroplasty is the replacement of joint with an artificial one. Standard surgical procedures involve a long skin incision and extensive dissection healthy tissue. Mini-incision surgery modification standard operative approaches. In addition to significantly smaller incision, main difference based on much less damage soft tissues, especially muscles that move hip. The aim this study was compare early results mini-incision approach in total determine advantages disadvantages technique. Methods. A retrospective analyzed data 63 patients who underwent at Institute Orthopaedic Surgery ?Banjica?, Belgrade from 2004 2010. All suffered primary coxarthrosis. operations were carried out by same team. clinically evaluated before after using Harris Hip Score (HHS). Results. group operated included 32 patients, while 31 made up approach. Comparing these groups did not reveal statistically significant age, body mass index, duration, HHS surgery. determined comparing intraoperative blood loss, amount drainage fluid surgery, Conclusion. posterolateral approach, compared apart esthetically more acceptable scar, achieves loss better function almost risk complications.

Mini-incision total hip replacement--surgical technique and early results.
PURPOSE To compare the results of mini-incision total hip replacement (MITHR) to the standard posterior approach and evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of MITHR. METHODS 60 patients with osteoarthritis of the hip underwent total hip replacement utilising a mini-incision technique. They were compared to a matched cohort of patients who received the standard posterior approach. The avera...

PURPOSE To compare outcome after total hip arthroplasty (THA) through the mini-incision approach versus the standard transgluteal approach. METHODS 80 women and 63 men aged 33 to 89 (mean, 62) years with primary osteoarthritis of the hip were randomised to undergo unilateral THA through a mini-incision approach (Micro-hip, n=55) or standard, lateral, transgluteal approach (Bauer, n=88). Level...

CONTEXT The two-incision approach to total hip arthroplasty (THA) has received increasing attention in recent years. However, the benefits of this procedure have been debated. OBJECTIVES To evaluate the two-incision THA technique compared to the standard anterolateral THA approach in a community hospital setting. METHODS A retrospective review of records from patients who had THA at Memoria...
متن کاملTotal Hip Arthroplasty Using Two-Incision Technique
BACKGROUND To evaluate the effectiveness of minimally invasive surgery total hip arthroplasty (THA) using the two-incision technique as described by Mears. METHODS From January 2003 to December 2006, sixty-four patients underwent total hip arthroplasty using the one-incision (group I) and two-incision (group II) technique by one surgeon. There were 34 hips in group I and 30 hips in group II. ...
متن کاملMini-Incision versus Standard Incision Total Hip Arthroplasty Regarding Surgical Outcomes: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials
PURPOSE It remains controversial whether mini-incision (MI) benefits patients in total hip arthroplasty (THA). We performed a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) to assess the effects of MI on surgical and functional outcomes in THA patients. METHODS A systematic electronic literature search (up to May 2013) was conducted to identify RCTs comparing MI with standard incision (...
